Shemini Atzeret & Simchat Torah!
Here are the special readings for Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah, the special days that end Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles). Shemini Atzeret is also known as the eighth day! Simchat Torah means the Joy of the Torah!
Shemini Atzeret - Deuteronomy 14:22 – 16:17 & Numbers 29:35 - 30:1 (the Maftir reading); the Haftarah reading is I Kings 8:54-66 and the Apostolic Writing reading is I John 3:1-3;
Simchat Torah - Deuteronomy 33:1 - 34:12 & Numbers 29:35 - 30:1 (the Maftir reading); the Haftarah reading is Joshua 1:1-18 and the Apostolic Writing reading is Revelation 21:9 - 22:5;
