A Note From Tony
Shabbat Shalom Everyone!
May you enjoy the beautiful gift Adonai has given to us - the Sabbath! Please do not listen to the world, nor anyone else who would say, “The Torah was done away with.” Our family began keeping the Sabbath the first weekend of the year 2000. So it’s been 23 years. May we have 23 more!
Each Hebrew month, which is either 29 or 30 days, I pray Psalm 119 during the first 22 days of the month. Psalm 119 is broken up into 22 prayers corresponding to the 22 letters of the Hebrew aleph bet. So, for the first 22 days I pray one of the sections of Psalm 119 corresponding to that day of the Hebrew calendar. Psalm 119 is so refreshing. I enjoy reading it and turning each verse into a prayer. The psalmist is totally consumed with two major endeavors:
The study and meditation of the word of Adonai
Complete, unswerving obedience to Adonai’s commandments
My prayer is that we too, would have the heart of the psalmist of Psalm 119!
