Shalom and welcome to everyone who is new to the Restoration of Torah Ministries' Weekly Newsletterate
The purpose of this newsletter is to 1) encourage YOU to study the weekly Torah Portion (Parashat HaShavuah in Hebrew) and form a firm foundation for your faith in the Hebrew Scriptures, 2) share information with you that appears on the RTM SubStack, 3) grow in the grace and knowledge of Messiah Yeshua and 4) in general, you'll learn about what's going on at Restoration of Torah Ministries.
A Note from Tony
Shalom All! Just wanted to say we are sorry we were not able to get the newsletter out last week! It’s a rare occurrence, but it happens once every few years or so. The past few weeks have been extremely busy. But we’re back on track.
I also wanted to apologize for the silence in articles coming your way from RTM. We’ve been so busy that we haven’t been able to write. Hopefully, that will change soon. However . . . that does not mean that the RTM Think Tank has taken a rest! While we may not be churning articles out as normal, we have still been seeking Adonai, and getting fresh revelation. We just haven’t had time lately, to publish what He’s showing us.
For example, in the future, Adonai willing, we plan on 1) completing the series connecting the book of Revelation to the account of the Exodus [Part III], 2) furthering the book Daniel series by showing how Daniel chapters 7-12 relate to each other and 3) publishing information on the thematic structure of the book of Hebrews! The book of Hebrews is the latest endeavor of the Think Tank. We’re blessed to soon share with you the thematic structure of Hebrews 1:1 - 2:16! Hopefully, after that, Adonai will continue to give us insight into the rest of the book. Hebrews 1:1 - 2:16 is just the beginning and we can’t wait to see what He’ll show us next. We have no idea how the book of Hebrews will shake out thematically, but we do know Adonai is faithful and we’re praying He opens our eyes to behold wondrous things from His Torah!
Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May I also suggest you begin praying Psalm 74 and Psalm 83. These Psalms pray that Adonai would protect His people and destroy His enemies that take counsel against “the life of your turtledove,” our beloved Israel. The wild beasts have lifted their heads against the King of the World and the Apple of His eye.
Lastly, if you have not settled on a yearly study guide, may I suggest our materials? You can choose from the yearly and 3-year cycles. You will not be disappointed. Please join the many who have or are studying the weekly Torah portion with RTM. If you are totally new to your Hebraic roots, may I suggest you study the yearly Torah portion with us. Our yearly Torah portions are meant for you to read and digest. I ask lots of questions, not so much for you to answer them, but mainly for you to see what thematic study is about, learn HOW to approach the Scriptures thematically and learn WHAT to ask when approaching the Bible thematically.
If you’ve gone through the yearly cycle, may I suggest the 3-year Torah lessons? Those lessons are meant for you to dig in yourself. The questions are meant for you to answer on your own.
Shalom, Tony
